OLD SCOUT AMERICAN WHISKEY
Old Scout American Whiskey is a blend of two whiskeys made with bourbon mashbills - one is aged in new oak barrels, while the other is aged in rejuvenated, re-charred bourbon casks (which is why this can't be labelled as a bourbon).
Tasting Notes:
Nose: Green apple, salted butter, good quality coffee and a familiar tickle of rye spiciness
Palate: Swedish peppercorn with plenty of cinnamon and ginger in the dough. Hints of soft tobacco and caramel develop
Finish: Chili chocolate, apple crumble and a pinch of leafy peppermint
