Compass Box Flaming Heart Limited Edition Blended Malt Scotch Whisky

First released in 2006, the Flaming Heart series from Compass Box was the first-ever to combine fiery, heavily-peated Islay malt with the stunning spiciness and complexity of new French Oak barrels. The inaugural release was so popular, in fact, that Compass Box released it three more times in the years that followed.

Now, to commemorate Compass Box’s fifteenth anniversary, Glaser has released Compass Box Flaming Heart Fifteenth Anniversary Edition Blended Scotch Whisky. Combining 14- and 30-year-old whiskies from Caol Ila, a 20-year-old whisky from Clynelish, and a unique, 7-year-old Highland blend containing malts from Clynelish, Teaninich and Dailuaine that has been separately finished in hybrid casks, the Fifteenth Anniversary Edition is incredibly rich and complex. Just over 10,000 bottles of this incredible whisky will ever be produced, and even fewer available in the U.S. 

Tasting Notes

Compass Box Flaming Heart Fifteenth Anniversary Edition has a powerful aroma of sweet fruits and coal-fire smoke, which leads to a bold, spicy palate filled with cinnamon, ash, baked apples and salt. The finish is lush, with notes of herbal mint and dark cocoa complementing further notes of fiery peat smoke.
